This is wonderful. Seriously beautiful. My new "lull me to sleep" music. ((I only just realized that I have to scroll DOWN to find your music...I feel like such a n00b!)
[big smiles] thanks for the feedback dd - we have a reverb nation media player on our page which is a bit more user friendly than the awkward vox navigation system - that has a small selection of our recordings from a few of the albums made so far - so look that over when you are in the mood for music - once you've pressed play on one, it will auto skip to the next track so you don't have to keep messing around with page loads.
This is indeed really wonderful. I was inspired to listen to it due to your latest post about producers not knowing music theory. You obviously do know some theory or I don't think this would sound as good as it does. I could imagine this track playing in a movie soundtrack. Maybe you could get together with some indie filmmakers and lay down some tracks for them--a good project for you ; )
Thanks for the comments renee, we do like to experiment and we don't always record music, some of our recordings are intended to be sonic environments and they are intentionally cinematic in style which is what you have picked up on thankfully. We are capable of composing a symphony if we want to and recently we did just that. It's an album we have kept off-line so far but when it is released it will hopefully prove a point to those who have stated we know nothing about music. We don't know any indie film makers aside from ourselves but we would relish the chance to do some work in that field. The videos we are about to start work on should do some of these recordings justice. The cinematic elements will be more in context when presented in that medium we hope.
I'm really impressed with your music and look forward to getting your full album when it's done. I would do yoga to it or listen to it while updating my Vox... It's too bad you don't know any filmmakers--maybe you could submit one of your cds to a London filmmaking school and see if you get any bites that way. You're all (how many of you are there?) very talented, I do want you to succeed.
We have in the past gone under the banner 4play and later 5DJ, we are expanding as time goes by and we are soon to be joined by another vocalist so that gives you an idea of the main member figures which may go up as well as down techno poet queen - we also have many more on the edges that float around from time to time as well as doing their own thing as djs and producers...that's as accurate as we can be right now.
