pulsars - ambient vocal mix

pulsars - ambient vocal mix
Pre-release version of Pulsars the Ambient Vocal Mix - from the event horizon a.m album by the funkcartel. This edit is an 8 of 16 track sequence - The vocals on Pulsars were recorded on 2 microphones, an AEA R44 Ribbon Microphone and a Telefunken ELAM 251 - The Synthesiser was designed by the funky Dutchman, Rob Papen who has made 3 amazing virtual synthesisers of late, Albino 3, Predator and Blue which was used on this recording. In addition, Morphology was used for sound design which was created by Ian Boddy who runs his own record label and has also made numerous sound library's for Zero G which are sold by Time and Space as well as making his own albums which are all available at iTunes. The rest of the Instruments are native to Apple's Logic Studio which was released a few months ago. To my knowledge, the recently finished Voices album is the first album to be completed using this new technology, i could be wrong of course and if anyone has made an album with it, i'd like to know about it so please share that information if you have it. The full version of this recording will be released in 2008 on the calmer coma record label. copyright@funkcartel

This is really neat fc! It's not what I imagined, but it does sound very space-y. Love the vocals!

I have to say, the chanting (is that the right term?) is enticing. But it's a bit too much of the synthesize background for me. Oh dear forgive me, for I'm kinda clueless when it comes to the right term to use...lol.

Nonetheless, it still a good tune to listen to calm the day down.

Although would there even be any sound in outer space, as there is no air to vibrate?

it keeps buffering, but that's probably 'cause of my wack connection at the moment. from what i can hear, this is a beautiful chillout track though. nice and cosmic.
thanks 4 the comment Trickery [da original version]- it's a bit leftfield and edgy this one, just like Mumbai Mathar and Syrian Sirens. I am not sure if they are ambient trip-hop chillout or electronica to be honest but i am glad you like it though. I just saw your new photos appear in voxwatch by strange coincedence so i was just about to check your pages for your new artwork... on ya doorstep in 2 minutes
Trickery since you are at last.fm you can find all the funkcartel audio at www.last.fm/music/funkcartel : - and if you'd like any files you find just drop me a line there and i can make them free for a while so you can download them - no trouble - hi 5 : trickery 2.0
